Pinch Penny Press is a family-owned and operated printing/graphics company with corporate headquarters located in St Petersburg, Florida. Founded in 1983, we have over 80 years of experience. The founder of Pinch Penny Press, James Byers started working at a local printing plant in Indiana when he was just 15 years old. Wanting for warmer weather, James Byers and his wife, Irene Byers moved to Saint Petersburg, Florida in 1978. They founded several small printing companies and graphic design companies which they sold through the course of the next five years. Finally in 1983, Pinch Penny Press was founded.
Pinch Penny Press has been successful by staying at the forefront of printing technology. A rapidly growing field, digital printing operations was introduced in 2002 with Canon machines while still using offset printing, web printing and large format printing. In 2007, Pinch Penny Press, having already been in the digital arena for several years upgraded digital printing operations by installing a Konica Minolta 6500 and Konica Minolta 1050. These state of the art machines have the capabilities of variable data software, numbering and bar coding on any size run, as little as 20 pieces up to the thousands.
James Byers’ daughter, Jane Byers, joined the business in 1997 as the operations manager. Jane brings her MBA knowledge as well as her printing background to increase business within Pinch Penny Press but offers her experience with her clients. James Byers’ other daughter, AnnaMarie is operations manager at the Lewis Center, Ohio facility. AnnaMarie has her BS degree in Business Administration as well as in depth knowledge of social media and website design. Later this year, she will be joined by the older brother, Robert Byers.
